Sofitel Adelaide

Builder: Palumbo | Electrical Works Value: $5.9 million

Sofitel Adelaide is a 32-storey landmark development on Currie Street, featuring South Australia’s first internationally recognised five-star hotel alongside 72 luxury private apartments. Positioned in the heart of the CBD, the project brings a new standard of sophistication and accommodation to Adelaide’s skyline.

Tad-Mar Electrical was engaged by Palumbo to deliver the full electrical scope of works. This included the installation of high voltage infrastructure, main switchboards, electrical lighting and power throughout, LV submain cabling and busduct systems, standby generation and essential services supplies, and advanced lighting control systems. The project also encompassed the integration of FTA and MATV systems, comprehensive security solutions including CCTV, access control and intercoms, structured cabling systems, UPS installations, lightning protection, aviation warning lighting, and an upgrade to the surrounding streetscape lighting.

Through technical expertise, detailed project management, and commitment to quality, Tad-Mar delivered critical electrical services that helped bring Palumbo’s vision for Sofitel Adelaide to life, setting a new benchmark for luxury developments in South Australia.
